Klippio uses a credit-based system for video generation. This guide explains how credits work, how much videos cost, and which plan is right for you.

What Are Credits?

Credits are Klippio's currency for video generation. Each video you create consumes credits based on:

  • Duration — Longer videos cost more credits
  • Model quality — Premium models cost more per second
  • Generation mode — Guided mode costs are calculated per segment

Credit Costs by Model

In Direct Mode, costs are simple — credits per second:

  • Budget models: 3 credits/second
  • Standard models: 6 credits/second
  • Premium models: 20 credits/second

Example: A 10-second video with Wan 2.5 (standard) costs 60 credits.

Getting Credits

There are two ways to get credits:

Monthly Subscriptions

  • Standard ($20/month) — 300 credits/month (~5 videos)
  • Creator ($50/month) — 1000 credits/month (~15 videos) — Best value at $0.05/credit

Subscriptions are best for regular creators who produce content consistently.

Credit Packs (Pay As You Go)

  • 100 credits — $10 ($0.10/credit)
  • 300 credits — $25 ($0.08/credit)
  • 750 credits — $45 ($0.06/credit)
  • 2000 credits — $100 ($0.05/credit) — Best pack value

Credit packs are perfect for occasional creators or those who want flexibility.

Which Plan Is Right for You?

Choose Pay As You Go If:

  • You create videos occasionally
  • You want maximum flexibility
  • You're just getting started

Choose Standard Subscription If:

  • You create 3-5 videos per month
  • You want predictable monthly costs
  • You're a regular content creator

Choose Creator Subscription If:

  • You create 10+ videos per month
  • You want the best per-credit rate

Credit Expiration

Credits from subscriptions expire if unused. Retention periods:

  • Pay As You Go: 15 days
  • Standard: 30 days
  • Creator: 90 days

Credit packs don't expire — buy them when you need them.

Refunds on Failed Generations

If a video generation fails, your credits are automatically refunded. You only pay for successful generations.
